– electing a new President, Joe Biden, and Vice President, Kamala Harris, for the United State of America!!
Dear Fellow Democrats,
This election was historic, returning America to a path of decency and democracy and electing as Vice President the first woman, first black woman, first South Asian American person. Truly causes for celebration. Most of the world’s collective sigh of relief was summed up simply in the immediate tweet of the Mayor of Paris, France, “Welcome Back America.”

We still found ways to gather through virtual meetings and phone conferencing which made campaigning look a lot different. MCDC hosted several rousingly successful events, joined by hundreds of Democrats – including a campaign kickoff, voting education session, joint PCDO campaign forum, Rising Stars GOTV fundraiser, and post-election celebration. MCDC Volunteers helped engage our communities to vote, worked for NJ congressional candidates including winner Congressman Andy Kim, and reached out to offer support in national swing states — most especially our MCDC focus on phoning texting and canvassing for our neighboring state of Pennsylvania. We always said that if PA went for Biden, he would be the next President! We together made our mark here in Mercer County, in New Jersey and on the national race! ![]() Thank you to all of our many volunteers that served as campaign coordinators, town captains & deputies, tech and fundraising committee members, and every single person who made calls, sent texts, wrote postcards, canvassed literature and dropped off signs. I was especially excited and gratified that so many new individuals became involved and others had serious opportunities to actively engage in MCDC activities. This energy and involvement bodes really well for the health and future of an effective and inclusive Mercer County Democratic Party!! |
