Remembering MLK, MCDC Convention Information, & Presidential Inauguration 2021

Yesterday, we honored and celebrated the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
His powerful message of hope will forever be nationally enshrined in the words of his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. His lofty vision and ideals should be our guiding tools.  So, the Rev. Dr. King mission, for all of us by our words and actions, is to affirm and further His Dream.  Let’s Together, Keep Hope Alive!

CALENDAR: Mercer County Democratic Convention for Thursday, March 18, to be held virtually.   Further details will follow.

In 2021, there are several races, including for Governor, the entire legislature as well as county offices.  Anyone who may be interested in running for office should send a Letter of Interest to me at, by February 22, expressing your interest, with all of your contact  information (name, home address, email, phone numbers) and relevant information about yourself and your candidacy.

At this time, it appears unlikely that Redistricting will take place this year due to delayed census data, and accordingly legislative elections would be conducted under the existing districts. Remember, pursuant to November ballot question number 3, New Jersey voted to postpone the redistricting process until after the November 2, 2021 election if the census data was not received by February 15, 2021.

Tomorrow Wednesday, January 20, Americans will celebrate the Inauguration of the 46th President of the United States of America Joseph Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris.  It has been a sobering four years and an even more stunning month.  Now we will have a renewed opportunity, to work together to move our country forward.
