Celebrating Women’s History Month

Be a part of spreading the word and engaging in forward-looking actions to promote and support the critical and invaluable role of women in our lives and society!

March 10, 2021

Dear Fellow Democrat,
Women’s History Month celebrated in March to correspond with International Woman’s Day on March 8, had its origins here in 1980 when Congress authorized the President to proclaim the week of March 8, 1981 as “Women’s History Week”, thereafter becoming monthlong in 1987.  From science to politics, law, sports, the arts, entertainment and numerous other roles, we celebrate the extraordinary and trailblazing women who have throughout history contributed to our culture and society.  Be a part of spreading the word and engaging in forward-looking actions to promote and support the critical and invaluable role of women in our lives and society!
