A Message From Our Chair (July 5, 2022)

Dear Fellow Democrat,

Thank you to all those who joined us last Wednesday night to participate in our Mercer County Democratic Committee Biennial Reorganization Meeting.

It was great to see everyone in person. I am personally humbled and grateful for the overwhelming confidence that the county committee members have expressed by returning me to the position of County Chairperson. We are proud of our tremendous record of success over the recent years, and our vision to move Mercer forward. We could not have achieved this huge victory and this record of success without the help and support of so many of you. I look forward to continuing to hear from everyone in the party regarding your thoughts and ideas about how, together, we can continue to grow and diversify our county party.

Our newly re-elected MCDC Executive Board officers are: Chairperson Janice Mironov; Vice Chairperson; Samuel Frisby Sr.; 1st Vice President; Jennifer Keyes-Maloney; 2nd Vice President Terry West; 3rd Vice President Jennifer Coffey; 4th Vice President Daniel Smith; Treasurer Peter Nichols; Corresponding SecretaryJon Durbin; Recording Secretary Howard Greenberg; and for the two Sergeant at Arms Elvin Montero, Yingchao "YZ" Zhang.

The MCDC Executive Board will continue to include our Extended Board Members: Cordelia Staton, David Ponton (Trenton Democratic Municipal Committee Political Director and Blue Wave Committee), Athina Fassu (Mercer Young Democrats), Johnnie Whittington (Labor).

At the reorganization meeting, we heard from NJ Democratic State Chairman Leroy J. JonesJr., were joined virtually from Washington, D.C. by Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman and heard rousing get out the vote remarks from Congressman Andy Kim. We also heard from our Mercer County Commissioner Candidates, Commissioner Nina Melker and Councilwoman Cathleen Lewis, about important issues for Democrats who need to be energized for this November!
