Dear Fellow Democrats,
We are mindful that vote counting continues of Vote by Mail Ballots, provisional ballots and overseas ballots, and the results have not been certified. Final vote counting, municipal clerk directions and December 6 runoff elections are on-going in the important Capital City of Trenton. We all recognize the challenges of Election Day and early morning on Wednesday, November 9, the attached letter was sent to County elected officials and all County elections offices, and we are confident that all Democrats and all voters expect a full accounting of the events and how to best ensure there are no repeat occurrences. Based on unofficial results tabulated thusfar, it is clear that Democratic candidates were victorious up and down the ballot! Our great Federal advocates Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman and Congressman Andy Kim both received substantial wins. And our outstanding County Commissioner candidates Nina Melker and Cathleen Lewis prevailed with huge margins. Shout out to likely winner Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora who appears to have much exceeded the required 50 percent vote against three challengers. We applaud the many MCDC Mercer Democrats who volunteered for now Senator-Elect John Fetterman in Pennsylvania and other important congressional races. Nationally, we can celebrate the exciting outcome that Democrats have retained control of the U.S. Senate, now to Georgia. It seems clear that nationally on Election Day, DEMOCRACY WON!
